Meet the Teacher
Hi! I’m Holly Hornyan, and I’ve been teaching piano in the Phoenix area for over sixteen years.
After earning my Master of Arts in Teaching Music from the University of Southern California, I began teaching K–8 general music and choir. But I quickly discovered that what I love most is helping kids grow through one-on-one piano lessons.
I believe every child is musical, and I work hard to make learning piano fun, encouraging, and accessible. My goal is for lessons to feel positive and confidence-building, and for parents to feel supported with simple tools that make practice easier at home.
I’ve completed the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Teaching Elementary Piano coursework and continue to stay active in professional development as a member of the Music Teachers National Association. I’ve also been a guest on several music education podcasts, including The Scrappy Piano Teacher and TopMusic Piano Podcast, as well as contributed an article to TopMusic Mag.
Most of all, I’m grateful to be part of each child’s musical journey. I want every student to leave lessons feeling proud of themselves and excited to keep making music.
